This is an upcycled MINI Cooper handbag made from a toy! It is a real conversation piece with a genuine MINI Cooper door handle to carry it! This MINI has been custom painted in DARK silver with a glossy black roof. This is one of a kind and will not be duplicated.
You can opt to have your purse's front or back license plate (or both) personalized! If you would like something in place of MINI COOPER S on the front, back or both, include that in the personalization section (optional). If no personalization is chosen, you will receive MINI COOPER S as shown.
I made my first one of these around 2008 to take to MINI Cooper car shows and events; always attention-getting, I kept mine for years, bringing it out every once in a while. Mid-summer 2021 at a driving rally I had so much interest, I decided to make some for others to enjoy! The preloved toys themselves are not easy to find as they are nearly 20 years old. I carefully remove the interior play set and cover it with black velvety flocking. I source the preowned handles from salvage yards and resellers.

Each bag is unique and, as it is made from preowned/recylced parts, will have scratches and marks inherent to used toys and door handles. This does not detract from this adorable and clever accessory! While the paint has cured and is clear-coated, care should be taken with the finish.
